HenC, HEND, HENA/B (Old)

HENx [HenA, HenB, HENC, and HENd] are "Homebrew Enablers" for PSP. They run via TIFF [an image file] and a bunch of files [.dat] in the root of the Memory Stick. HENC could be sued to run 2.71 homebrew. It could also be sued to run a 2.71 version of Devhook to emualte 1.5 to run 1.5 homebrew.

HENC was the most common. The 2.71 TA-082 downgrader required HEND however. HEND did not support Devhook in emulating 1.5, so HENC was better and OE was even better than that.

OE runs 1.5 and 2.71 homebrew. Other TIFF homebrew that ran directly off TIFF could be run within emulated 2.71 under OE using any Devhook (as IE runs 1.5 and 2.71).

HENA and HENB are never spoke of…

They are made by Dark AleX.

3.03 HEN

Dark AleX made a HEN for 3.03 firmware however it needs the original (Unpatched) version of GTA LCS. The 3.03 Homebrew Enabler is called Goofy, its more annoying than 2.71 Homebrew Enablers since you need GTA in the UMD Drive everytime you want to run Homebrew/ISO, its recommended to use downgrade to 2.71 and use it's Homebrew enabler or downgrade/upgrade to OE.

3.50 HEN

Dark AleX made a HEN for 3.50 firmware however it needs the original (Unpatched) version of Lumines. The 3.50 Homebrew Enabler is called Illuninati (?), its more annoying than 2.71 Homebrew Enablers since you need Lumines in the UMD Drive everytime you want to run Homebrew/ISO, its recommended to use downgrade to 2.71 and use it's Homebrew enabler or downgrade/upgrade to OE.

ChickHen (http://operation420.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=195)

ChickHEN is a HEN for firmware 5.03. It runs on any PSP running 5.03, including PSP 3000's. On the 3000 instead of running HEN-C for homebrew and then devhook for ISO, you run ChickHEN (Another TIFF exploit) and then GEN-D which loads CFW into memory from the memory stick. Just like HEN-C and Devhook the process has to be repeated every boot…
